Same problem here, External SD purple icon won't show up in Files, so Android 5.0.2 GUI to select External Storage won't show up either, though ExternalSD folder is available to be selected in Airdroid explorer in the browser, but write operations fail when trying to delete or upload files in microSD. I did also try closing all apps (including manually closing the airdroid process in background), and doing both a cold & warm reboot, to see if the issue is related to Airdroid re-connecting or already being.
